The Mohair South Africa team travelled to London last month for the 2023 Textile Exchange Conference. This global gathering brought together over 1,800 in-person and virtual attendees, encompassing a spectrum of voices from farmers and activists to CEOs and NGOs.
African Textile Talks 2023
The 2023 African Textile Talks hosted by Twyg &Imiloa Collective on Thursday, 17 August, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. This was a great opportunity to connect and learn about textiles, slow fashion, and design in AFRICA.
The Fashion Bridges Project
Last year the mohair, wool and cotton industries were invited to join this project, the great idea of the current Italian Ambassador to SA’s wife. She saw so much talent that she wanted to assist by opening doors to their fashion industry.

Beauty Mokgwamme continues to provide the annual mohair training for Grootfontein College of Agriculture, she loves it and is very grateful that she can still contribute by teaching mohair classing skills to Grootfontein students.
