Our name: pronounced: f ray uh
Freya means lady and in Scandinavian mythology she was the goddess of love.
With a desire to create sustainable fashion pieces with a purpose, Freya Hats South Africa was established. We embrace slow fashion while designing quality pieces that transcend the seasons. Our hats are gender-inclusive, made for the fashion-forward individual.
Sustainably handmade
Freya Hats has a steadfast commitment to sustainability so we try be as sustainable as possible - from production to packaging. Each hat is handmade locally in South Africa from natural fibres or up-cycled materials. The hats were first made from discarded fabric sample books and as we evolved so did our fabric options. All our hats are made by female-owned CMTs based in South Africa.
