The Mohair industry welcomed La Rhea Pepper, CEO of Textile Exchange, and her team when they touched down in Port Elizabeth last week. She was accompanied by Anna Heaton - Strategy Lead for Animal Fibres and Materials and Hanna Denes - Climate + Strategy Lead and the Chairman of the Textile Exchange Board – Heinrich Schultz.

They celebrated their 20th anniversary and hosted a cocktail function at the Mohair South Africa headquarters on Thursday, 8 September. South Africa is the largest producers of RMS/RWS fibre in the world, and hence a fitting place for them to celebrate their 20-year anniversary with various industry stakeholders.

The mohair industry set up a meeting with the Textile Exchange delegation earlier that day to discuss a couple of matters that came from the Mohair Trust meeting several weeks ago. We would like to thank all our stakeholders that took part in the meeting and celebration.
